Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents split up to move to Los Angeles to live with her mother. It was a struggle to get by and was offered her first role in acting in the film Rachel's Room's lead character. The television film Murder in Greenwich, in which she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, as well as sharing with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) along with her. After leaving the show, Grace was keen to work as a film actress, and had been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) in Suburban Girl and the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised the role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost including the series finale. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 until 2014. The actress portrays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is older in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as an early teenager, when she appeared in small parts in a few films directed that her father directed. In addition, she was a part of her brother in the 2001 famous film Donnie Darko. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win an Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and the romance comedy Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. Her fame grew after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films she starred in in 2006. In recognition of her role as the single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The subsequent roles she has played include Nanny McPhee as well as in the Big Bang and Hysteria. Her other roles include a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in Frank (2014) and her role as the lead in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018).
