MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global advancements into Latin pop mainstream. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album climbed to number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. He released in 2020 his charting sophomore album Dopamina and also collaborated on Mala Influencia together with Noriel. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI for her hit stream single Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo's mother and brother were both musicians when they were born. He's said in interviews that music is an essential part of his life. At the age of a young child, he started learning how to play the ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. The first choice for his career was to become a vet, but his brother Julian persuaded him to learn to sing with an instructor from a Cuban instructor. In the end, learning that he possessed talents for singing, changed the course his life.
